Just trusting the projections here, which have Carrington at 1.47 assists over 27 minutes. Last season with the Sun she averaged 1.6 assists per game and in her career she’s averaged 1.2 assists. She’s in a completely different situation now with the Wings but Dallas added Tyasha Harris, drafted Paige Bueckers and still has Arike Ogunbowale as its centerpiece on offense. Just hoping projections are right and we see Carrington playing more off-ball while Bueckers and Ogunbowale handle more on-ball duties. Willing to take a shot in this opening game when roles and rotations are still uncertain.
