Fever vs. Sparks Preview

The Indiana Fever have begun to run at a high temperature as they come into this matchup having won five straight games. This run without star point guard Caitlin Clark has been impressive, and in her absence, the Fever's play on the defensive end of the floor has improved.

The Fever are the fourth-best defensive team in terms of defensive rating, but they are in for a tough test against the Sparks, who are fifth in offensive rating. The Sparks are led by a talented trio of Kelsey Plum, Dearica Hamby, and Azura Stevens.

While Plum may be the highest volume scorer, Stevens has shown that when she gets it going from beyond the arc, her efficiency make a major impact for the Sparks. Now, that will be a challenge tonight as the Fever are the toughest matchup when it comes to converting threes, but Stevens' volume and consistency give her a window for success.

Stevens averages 4.5 three-point attempts per game and has drained 1.8 of them per game. However, we've seen her heat up lately as she's been shooting at 43 percent from long range with over five attempts per game over her last 10 games.

Fever vs. Sparks Prediction

If the Sparks are going to snap the Fever's win streak, they are going to need Stevens to contribute from long range. The market has come in and backed the Sparks, as we've seen the spread consistently bet down with multiple moves recorded at 2 and 1.5.

Additionally, Stevens has had a hot hand, going over this mark in six of her last 10 games, which has brought her season-long cash rate to 52 percent.

Best Bet: Azura Stevens Over 1.5 Threes Made (+105)
