Liberty vs. Mercury Preview, Prediction

We will see a highly anticipated matchup between two championship hopefuls on Friday Night. The Mercury stunned the Liberty with a blowout win in Game 2, returning the series to Phoenix.

I love this spot for the Mercury on their home floor tonight. Phoenix has played its best basketball at home this season with a record of 15-7.

New York performed below .500 on the road this year (10-12), and the team is not at 100%, most notably due to Breanna Stewart's injury.

I expect Phoenix to control the pace of this game and advance past the first round tonight.

I'm also backing Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas, who has performed well in the series, averaging 14.5 points per game.

The former Maryland product averaged 15.4 points per game during the regular season and has seen the most minutes of any player on the Mercury in the first two games of the series (33.5).

Thomas will log a similar volume tonight and exceed this number.

Best Bets: Phoenix Mercury ML & Alyssa Thomas 15+ Points
