Fever vs. Lynx Preview

The Minnesota Lynx host the Indiana Fever in the Commissioner's Cup Final as the standalone game on Tuesday night.

One of the biggest question marks in this game is the availability of Caitlin Clark (groin), who has missed the Fever's past two games. Considering this line opened at 4.5 and now has ballooned to 6.5, bettors in the market seem to think she will sit this one out.

Without Clark, the Fever are significantly worse offensively. Their offensive rating drops from 110.4 to 103.2 without Clark on the floor, per pbpstats. For perspective, 110.4 would be the best in the league and 103.2 would be seventh.

While Aliyah Boston sees a dip in her production, Kelsey Mitchell gets an uptick in both usage and raw output. I'd look at her over 2.5s mark in this spot. She's hit this in 4 of her last 5 against the Lynx and in these last two games without Caitlin Clark.

For the Lynx, they are the best team in the W with a 14-2 record and they are led by Napheesa MVPhee Collier. She's been incredible this season and is leading the league in scoring with 24.4 points per game. Her over is one I'm targeting at 22.5.

She's exceeded this mark in 5 of her last 6 games against the Fever with the one miss coming in a game she played just 24 minutes.

Considering the stakes here, I'd expect minutes in the mid to upper 30s. The Fever are not a great defensive team, and their Pace would be an uptick compared to the Lynx's slowest mark in the league.
