Storm vs. Sun Preview

The Seattle Storm face off against the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday in a game with the biggest spread on the slate.

The Sun have struggled this season and have the league’s worst Net Rating (-22.8), while the Storm are above average with a Net Rating of +3.9.

The Sun have literally won two games for a 2-16 record and have never been able to gain traction this season. They have been playing with a less-than-healthy Tina Charles (shoulder). All of her props are reduced right now because of that. Marina Mabrey (knee) is also out today, further damaging their offensive potential.

The Storm have been the better team by a mile, and they have covered in seven of 10 road games this season.

The Sun are not only losing but are also struggling to score. They have the league’s worst offensive rating (90.2), and the difference between the Sun and the second-worst team is nearly the difference between the second-worst team and the best team in the W.

Storm vs. Sun Prediction

The Storm have been above average on both sides of the floor this season, and they have won both matchups against the Sun with relative ease.

I’m concerned about a blowout and a backdoor cover, so I’ll back the Storm in the first half to take care of business.

Best Bet: Storm 1st Half -9.5 (-140, BetMGM)
