We didn't see both teams score in the first semi-final, but I expect a different story here. I don't believe either England or Argentina has the defensive quality to completely shut down the other's attack, and at these odds, backing BTTS looks like excellent value. The numbers support this bet. Both teams scored in every one of their knockout matches, while England found the net in five of their six games and Argentina scored in all six. Although I trust both attacks, I have far less confidence in either defense. In the knockout rounds, England allowed a goal to DR Congo, two to Mexico, and one against Norway, while Norway also had one goal disallowed. On the other hand, Argentina's defense was even worse, allowing two goals to Cape Verde, and Egypt (+1 disallowed) and one against Switzerland. Tactically, I expect Argentina to dominate possession and control the tempo, but we already saw against Egypt how susceptible they can be to counterattacks. That plays directly into England's biggest strength, as they are at their most dangerous in transition and have the pace to convert those counters. As for Argentina's offense, it often looks one-dimensional as they keep trying to attack through the middle. However, despite their offense sometimes looking slow and predictable, they rarely fail to score, as they have done so in 36 out of 37 matches - an incredible 97%! @everyone
