Mike McNamara

Mike is a regular contributor to the Action Network's College Football and College Basketball verticals. He's been betting for 10+ years going back to his teenage years when he had to once ask his parents for a $300 loan following a Bears loss to the Raiders. Mike joined The Action Network in the fall of 2021, but has been writing and podcasting in the sports betting industry since 2017.

Within Mike's role as a College Sports Contributor for Action, he focuses primarily on breaking down individual games and identifying the betting value. Mike has written up previews for 30+ football games thus far in the 2021 season, and is currently hitting at a >60% clip. Mike contributes to a bi-weekly college football futures column where he pinpoints certain teams that have value in the market from a futures perspective. Mike is also a regular contributor to the Staff Best Bets files for both college football and college basketball.

Mike graduated from Indiana University with a Marketing and Professional Sales Degree within the Kelley School of Business. It was during Mike's time at Indiana that he co-founded the Amateur Hour Golf Podcast, a podcast centered around the PGA TOUR with interviews from various tour professionals.
