Mike McNamara is a contributor to the Action Network's college football and college basketball verticals. He's been betting for 10+ years going back to his teenage years when he once had to ask his parents for a $300 loan following a Bears loss to the Raiders.

McNamara joined The Action Network in the fall of 2021, but has been writing and podcasting across the sports betting industry since 2017.

In McNamara's role, he focuses primarily on breaking down individual games and identifying where the betting value lies. He has written previews for 100+ football and basketball games since joining Action in 2021, and he's hit at a >55% clip.

McNamara contributes to a bi-weekly college football futures column where he identifies teams that have value in the futures market. He is also a regular contributor to the staff "Best Bets" files for college football and college basketball. He has even done some Bracketology on the hoops side as well.

McNamara graduated from Indiana University with a Marketing and Professional Sales Degree within the Kelley School of Business. It was during his time at Indiana that he co-founded the Amateur Hour Golf Podcast, a podcast centered around the PGA TOUR with interviews from various tour professionals.

Betting Highlights
Favorite Bet of All-Time
Danny Willett to win the 2016 Masters at 100/1. There weren't many celebrating Jordan Spieth's double splash on hole #12 of Amen Corner, but I was one of them.
Most Heartbreaking Bet
Northern Iowa ML against Texas A&M in the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The Panthers led by 10 with less than 30 seconds remaining and proceeded to lose in overtime. I was on spring break in Cancun during the game and would describe the collapse as a "night ruiner."
