Favored by more than a touchdown against the depleted Tennessee Titans, the New England Patriots figure to get running backs Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson involved plenty during Week 12 of Sunday’s action.
Is that good or bad news for fantasy football managers?
Trying to figure out a Bill Belichick running back committee is oftentimes like solving a Rubik’s Cube. Harris has been the lead back for much of the season, but the rookie Stevenson has emerged as a contributor in recent weeks.
The Titans offense will be without starting running back Derrick Henry and top wide receivers A.J. Brown and Julio Jones. With the lack of experienced players around Ryan Tannehill, oddsmakers believe the Patriots will control things.
Does that favor Harris, Stevenson, both or neither?
That’s what managers have to decide before kickoff.
“With the Patriots slated as 7-point favorites against the Titans, this a great spot for both backs,” Action Network Director of Predictive Analytics and fantasy football expert Sean Koerner wrote this week. “Right now, I have them ranked as high-end RB3/Flex options, but if one of them ends up getting ruled out, the other would shoot up into RB2 range.”
Both were listed as questionable, but expected to play.
In addition to Koerner’s thoughts, our fantasy football rankings can provide extra insight for those making last-minute decisions.
Here’s what our rankings say.
