The Bulls have made it abundantly clear that they are prioritizing Caleb Wilson's growth this season.
In Game 1 against the Raptors, Wilson had about the roughest defensive matchup you could possibly ask for. Despite the brutal matchup, he still played 32 minutes and shot the basketball 21 times.
Even though he couldn't get his shots to fall efficiently, Wilson still managed to put up 14 points.
The sheer volume is the most important takeaway here. The Bulls are perfectly content letting him shoot the ball as much as he wants, whenever he wants, to force his development.
I am not super concerned about his poor shooting splits from the opener because the volume and the minutes should be locked in.
Milwaukee Bucks Betting Preview
We are getting a much, much softer defensive environment against the Bucks tonight.
Honestly, the defensive swing between facing the Raptors (who we are very high on defensively) and the Bucks might be the single biggest defensive swing you could possibly have right now in the NBA.
I don't totally know what the Bucks are going to be this year—their game against the Wizards was incredibly weird—but I know they don't have the perimeter stoppers that Toronto has.

This line opened at 14.5 and has taken steam, but I am still actively recommending it at 17.5 because it is just too low for his current usage rate.
Wilson put up 14 points on a horrible shooting night against a much tougher defense.
Against Milwaukee, he is going to see just as many minutes and just as much volume, but more shots should actually fall this time.
It's a great spot for him to bounce back and clear this number. I am grabbing Wilson to go over 17.5 points.
