Cavaliers vs Clippers NBA Preview
The Cavaliers have made the playoffs in each of the last three years.
The Clippers have some work to do this season, but they have made the playoffs in the six of the last seven years.
Regardless, this was going to be an exciting game between teams jockeying for positioning in their respective conferences.
However, the game got even more intriguing when this happened.
It is not too often that All-Star players get traded for each other right before the two teams are set to square off.
We will have to wait to see them take on their former teams as they go through their physicals.
Darius Garland likely would have missed this game regardless as he has been out since January 14th with a toe injury. Evan Mobley will be out for the Cavaliers as well
However, tonight's matchup still features plenty of star power, led by Donovan Mitchell and Kawhi Leonard. They will be teammates on the venerable USA Stripes team in next Sunday's All-Star Game.
Leonard was initially snubbed from the Western Conference roster despite leading the Clippers on their best stretch of the season.
They have won 15 of their last 20 games as Leonard has averaged 29.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
He has taken on more of a playmaker role over the last three games and that may continue to be the case moving forward, at least until Garland is available.
Mitchell is the league's sixth leading scorer at 28.8 points per game, but he has been held under 20 points in each of his last two games.
He may see Leonard a bit, particularly on switches, but I expect Kris Dunn would be the primary defender on him tonight.
He did not have to do much scoring on Sunday as the Cavs cruised to a 19-point victory over Portland.
He did have nine assists and played a part in setting up Jarrett Allen, who had a career-night with 40 points and 17 rebounds.
Allen is now averaging 18 points and 8.7 rebounds in nine games without Mobley this season.
Tonight, he will battle with Ivica Zubac down low.
Cavaliers vs Clippers Predictions, Betting Analysis
Kawhi Leonard 4+ Assists
Leonard has had four assists in six of his last seven games and five assists each of the last three games.
Harden did not play in two of those games and Leonard has had five assists in his last four games without him.
Leonard has had six potential assists in six of his last seven games and nine potential assists in his last four games.
The Cavaliers are 17th in assists allowed and may throw more double teams at Leonard tonight.
Eight to nine potential assists would put him on track to clear this line.

Jaylon Tyson 3+ Assists
Jaylon Tyson has enjoyed a breakout campaign for Cleveland, averaging 18.3 points over his past 10 games.
However, a difficult matchup tonight make him of a facilitator.
He has had three assists in each of his last 10 games averaging 5.5 potential assists in that span.

Ivica Zubac 10+ Rebounds
Averaging 11 rebounds per game, Ivica Zubac has pulled down 10 or more in seven of his last 10 games, including games of 19 and 20 rebounds.
He had 18 rebounds in the first meeting against the Cavaliers as well as 10 rebounds in each of his last four games against them.

Donovan Mitchell 1+ Steal
I will cap this parlay with Donovan Mitchell to nab a steal.
Mitchell is averaging 1.5 steals per game this season, but he has nabbed at least one steal in 41 of 47 games this season.
He enters tonight's game with a steal in each of his last 20 games.
