Hawks vs Clippers NBA Preview
The Clippers enter tonight's game having lost five of their last six games, with four of them being by double digits. They have fallen to 1-8 against the spread, with a lone cover against the Suns.
Kawhi Leonard has been his usual self to start the year- about 25 points, six rebounds on 50% shooting. He made the game-winning jumper in their last win over the Pelicans. However, he has played just one game since and he will remain out tonight as he deals with a sprained right ankle.
Meanwhile, the Hawks defeated the Clippers' crosstown rival Lakers 122-102 on Saturday night. Even more impressively, they did so without Jalen Johnson, Kristaps Porzingis, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker, as well as Trae Young, who is out for an extended period already. Porzingis does not carry an injury designation for tonight's game, but Johnson and Alexander-Walker are questionable.
Without Young, getting Johnson back in the lineup will be key as the 23-year-old is averaging 20.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists. Dyson Daniels has taken on increasing playmaking responsibilities of late as well. "The Great Barrier Thief" will also have an important defensive assignment in this game with James Harden on the other side. He is averaging 2.3 steals per game this season.
While one high-volume passer will be out of this game, Harden is fifth in the league with 9.1 assists per game. Ivica Zubac has been the recipient of several of them, is he is averaging 15.1 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. John Collins has been in double figures in eight of his first nine games as well. Tonight, he takes on his former team.

These teams are 2-2-1 to the over last five meetings. Tonight’s line in the low 220s offers some value as those games have averaged 236.8 points per game. The over has hit in three of the Clippers’ last four home games.
