The Charlotte Hornets (1-0) and Philadelphia 76ers (1-0) will face off in the NBA tonight. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET from Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The game will broadcast live on FDSSE.

The 76ers are 4-5-point favorites over the Hornets on the spread (76ers -4.5), with the over/under set at 236.5 total points. Philadelphia is a -205 favorite to win outright on the moneyline, while Charlotte is +165 to pull off the upset.

Let's get into my Hornets vs. 76ers predictions and NBA picks for Saturday, October 25.

Hornets vs 76ers NBA Preview

Both teams are off to a 1-0 start this season.

Charlotte whooped on Brooklyn and put up nearly 140 points in regulation.

The 76ers struggled with the Celtics but were saved by the heroics of Tyrese Maxey and V.J. Edgecombe — making his NBA regular-season debut — who scored a combined 74 points.

Joel Embiid looked washed, and the Celtics faded late, but alas, Philly got it done.

I'm higher on Charlotte than consensus, as said in writing and on Buckets here.

But, to be honest, I don't know what to make of Philadelphia.

I love Maxey and Edgecombe and did pre-draft. And don't trust Paul George or Embiid, and don't know what to do with most of the remaining roster.

As far as this game goes, I'm going back to the same well I explored in Game 1.

Hornets vs 76ers Prediction, Betting Analysis

My play for tonight jumped out to me on the board as soon as it popped, and that's Brandon Miller Over 19.5 points.

His number is the exact same for tonight against Philly.

Sure, he went over against Brooklyn, but he scored his 25 points on just 8-of-19 from the field and 2-for-9 from three with 7-of-10 makes from the free throw line.

Miller should have healthy volume all season long and has the ability and runway to potentially average around 25 points per game.

No one in this Philly team will be able to stop him, so it'll come down to opportunity and shot-making.

I'll take my chances running it back with Miller opposite of Kelly Oubre Jr. and Dominick Barlow, and I'll even sprinkle on him to score 25 plus at +250.

Picks: Brandon Miller Over 19.5 points (-115) | Brandon Miller to Score 25+ (+250)
