Clippers vs Trail Blazers NBA Preview
The line on this game is currently sitting at Portland +2 — but looking at this spot, the Trail Blazers are being overrated by the market.
Quite frankly, the Blazers are bad. They have been bad for a while now — and they will continue to be bad.
It is difficult to understand why the line is set where it is in this particular spot.
The Clippers are a much better team, and importantly, they have nobody on the injury report right now.
One team in this matchup is serious and has real guys, while the other is just a mishmash of players who seem happy to be in the Play-In tournament.
It has been a messy year for the Blazers, for understandable reasons — and things aren't going to get better here.
From a matchup perspective, the Clippers have the ability to switch everything and contain Portland's guards. While Toumani Camara has been shooting really well lately, this is not a good opportunity for them.
Even when the Blazers shot the lights out against the Nuggets recently, they still couldn't win and struggled to cover. They simply don't score consistently enough to justify this number.

Even with the Blazers coming off a big game against the Spurs, the wrong team is still favored here. The most I can possibly give them is Blazers -1.86 — and that still comes in under the current market number.
The Clippers are the better team and have the defensive tools to stifle what Portland wants to do. I think LA wins this game outright and moves into the eighth seed.
This is a ridiculously stupid line given the gap in quality between these two rosters. I am going to grab the Clippers +2 and expect them to handle business against a Portland team that cannot keep up offensively.
