Timberwolves vs Knicks NBA Preview

The Knicks might be back on track, but it's hard to say. And it'll be hard to find out because of the injury report.

New York is home again and has won back-to-back games after a three-game skid sandwiched in between winning streaks.

They're 4-3 straight up, they're 4-3 against the spread, and they're not particularly impressive yet.

There are still growing pains, and the resume isn't overwhelming, but they're clearly the more talented team in this game, and frankly, that's been the case in all seven games.

They've only been underdogs on opening night, and with Cleveland's injuries (and being on the road), they shouldn't have been.

Minnesota is 4-3, head above water despite being short-handed. Minnesota has also played a mostly weak schedule and has been favored in six games, winning four.

Injury-wise, Anthony Edwards, who has only played two full games this season, is getting closer.

He's been upgraded to questionable for this game and has just been cleared for contact after missing four straight games with a hamstring ailment.

Mitchell Robinson is day-to-day and did not play Monday in the Knicks' win against the Wizards.

On Wednesday morning, Karl-Anthony Towns was downgraded to questionable.

Timberwolves vs Knicks Prediction, Betting Analysis

I'd like a cleaner injury report as it relates to Towns and Edwards, but I think we can still look for OG Anunoby to go over 1.5 steals.

Anunoby just had five against Washington and has two or more in all but the Bucks game last week and the first loss to the Bulls, which is to say, he's hit this in every home game.

Minnesota's turning the ball over 15 times per 100 possessions, which is league average, so this has more to do with Anunoby specifically.

He's averaging 2.8 deflections per 36 minutes, which is in the 77th percentile and is top two in minutes for the Knicks this year at north of 34 minutes per contest.

Pick: OG Anunoby Over 1.5 Steals (-140)
