76ers vs. Raptors
By Joe Dellera
Joel Embiid always destroys Toronto. He dropped 29 points against them earlier this season on a minutes limit, and now he's off restrictions.
Embiid has cleared 25+ points in 5-of-5 games against the Raptors over the last few seasons.
He's also going to be one of the few players with fresh legs after that OT game yesterday, and that usually shows up the most on defense.
This is a great matchup against a Raptors team that doesn't really have a true center right now, and even if Poeltl makes his return, he's almost certainly going to be on a minutes restriction.
Pick: Joel Embiid 25+ Points (-105)
Nets vs. Mavericks
By Joe Dellera
This line is simply too low for Nets' rookie Egor Demin. He’s seen a clear uptick in usage lately, and his role continues to grow as he gains more confidence in his shot.
Demin has averaged 21.6 Points + Rebounds + Assists over his last 10 games (14.7/3.5/3.4), while exceeding this mark in 8-of-10.
I think we are getting this at a bit of a discount because Cam Thomas is back and Demin only secured 12 PRA last night against the Grizzlies.
However, Dallas plays even faster than Memphis, and while they have limited three-pointers over the entire season, that hasn't been the case of late.
Over their last 15 games, the Mavericks are allowing the ninth-most 3-point attempts, which is where Egor makes a living.
I expect a well-rounded effort from the rookie tonight.
