Tyrese Haliburton's absence was expected to give Mathurin a boost, and that's exactly what we saw on Thursday.

Mathurin dropped 36 points on OKC in a double-overtime loss.

The volume numbers are inflated by the extra periods, but Mathurin posted a 26.5% usage rate in the opening game. He has never exceeded a 23.5% usage rate.

Mathurin also played 38 minutes in regulation. We obviously can't expect that every night, but he has a good opportunity to average more than 30 MPG for the first time in his career.

As if Haliburton's and T.J. McConnell's absences weren't enough, Andrew Nembhard is also out tonight.

Mathurin and Pascal Siakam should have the ball in their hands a ton.

Memphis has given up a silly 268 points through two games.

Miami hung 146 on them last night, the 3rd-highest total in Heat franchise history.

The Grizzlies played at the fastest pace in the league last season. They're 2nd so far this year. It should be a tremendous game environment.

Pick: Bennedict Mathurin Over 21.5 Points (-120)

Dosunmu has to carry a heavier offensive burden to start the season for the Bulls with Coby White out.

His incredible preseason run in that role translated to a strong first game.

He got up 14 shots in 26 minutes off the bench against the Pistons, finishing with 14 points on a 21% usage rate.

I actually expect that to tick up a little, meaning this number is still far too low for him without White (and maybe even with him).

Pick: Ayo Dosunmu Over 11.5 Points (+100)
