The Knicks have built a 2-0 lead against the 76ers and will look to extend it at Xfinity Mobile Arena ahead of the weekend. However, New York could be missing a key piece in Game 3 with Joel Embiid trending towards returning to the hardwood.

OG Anunoby has been a valuable rebounder for the Knicks, but is questionable for Friday with a hamstring strain. That could put more pressure on Josh Hart and Karl-Anthony Towns to rebound, but Embiid's foul-drawing abilities could make things difficult for the ladder.

Embiid has attempted at least nine free throws in four of the five playoff games he's appeared in this season, and KAT is as foul-prone as ever. The Knicks' starting center has committed four fouls in both of his round-two outings and fouled out in just 16 minutes against Embiid earlier this season.

While KAT averaged a strong 11.8 rebounds per game during the regular season, he's fallen short of 11 boards in five of the eight playoff games he's appeared in so far this postseason. He doesn't seem poised to control the rebounding battle in this one.

The series between the Spurs and Timberwolves is knotted at 1-1 now, and Minnesota's outlook isn't good after its latest blowout loss. The underdogs need to gain some momentum, and their defense against the opposition's superstar might give them a chance to get back on track.

Victory Wembanyama is averaging just 15.0 points on 37.5% shooting in the series, and Rudy Gobert is defending his fellow Frenchman at an elite level. The four-time Defensive Player of the Year will now get to return home, which could help him maintain his current pace.

Gobert held Nikola Jokic to 25.8 points per game in the first round, and its safe to say that he's a much more complete offensive player than Wemby at this point in their careers.

Minnesota is especially good at defending the perimeter, and 35.3% of Wemby's shots have come from beyond the arc.

He's converted his 3-pointers at a 13.3% rate against the Timberwolves so far, so a scoring surge seems unlikely on Friday.

Picks: Victor Wembanyama Under 25.5 Points (-111)
