Suns vs Grizzlies NBA Preview
The Suns had hit a bit of a rough patch, losing six of seven, which is a good time to face the Utah Jazz.
On Saturday, they defeated the Jazz 134-109. Jalen Green needed just 22 minutes to score 31 points as he went 13-for-22 from the field and 5-for-11 from three. Devin Booker added 26 points and eight assists as neither of them played the fourth quarter.
If possible, the Suns would gladly take a blowout victory again tonight. They are double-digit favorites tonight in Memphis, but it is the front end of a back-to-back as they will be in Orlando tomorrow.
The Grizzlies were recently eliminated from Play-In Tournament contention. They entered Saturday on a five-game losing streak, losing four of them by double digits. They were able to snap the skid by eking past the Bulls for a 125-124 victory.
As has been the case of late, it was a balanced effort for the Grizzlies with seven players in double digits. Cedric Coward led the way with 24 points in 24 minutes.
As his rookie campaign winds down, Coward has been one of the lone bright spots for the Grizzlies this season, averaging 13.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 57 games. He appears to be one of the pieces the Grizzlies will build their next core around.
Tonight, the Grizzlies will have a lengthy injury report once again as Ja Morant, Ty Jerome, and Jaylen Wells are among the players out, while Olivier-Maxence Prosper, Javon Small, and Taj Gibson are doubtful.
