Raptors vs 76ers NBA Preview

The Raptors are riding in with a little momentum, and the 76ers are trying to steady the ship — but both clubs have questions heading into tonight’s showdown.

Toronto comes in at 5-4 this season and has covered the spread in four of its last five games.

The 76ers sit at 5-3, and are 4-2 ATS when scoring above the Raptors’ season-average allowed points of 115.7.

Historically, the Raptors have had the 76ers’ number lately, winning four straight — a.k.a. all four games last season when Philly was in a tailspin.

The 76ers’ offense is averaging 123.3 points per game (which ranks second in the league) and is third in offensive rating at just north of 120.

Toronto ranks 10th in defense and 12th in offense, and is riding a four-game winning streak heading into tonight, though this is the second leg of a back-to-back, having beaten the Atlanta Hawks just last night, 109-97.

Philly, who are going into the first leg of theirs, last played Wednesday, losing to the Cavs 132-121.

On the injury front, Philadelphia will be without Paul George (knee) and Dominick Barlow (elbow) tonight. The Raptors enter the game with no players officially listed on their injury report.

Raptors vs 76ers Prediction, Betting Analysis

I'm going under on Trendon Watford's points line, which is our biggest edge today on Action Pro, as of this writing, and it's not hard to see why.

In five games this season, Watford has played two with Joel Embiid and three without him.

In the two without, he scored 16 points each, and in the two with Embiid, he scored none, two and eight.

Pick: Trendon Watford Under 7.5 Points (-130, bet365)
