Troy vs Florida Pick, Betting Analysis
The Florida Gators were unable to get the job done yesterday afternoon in a 16-11 loss to the Troy Trojans. The loss puts them into a winner-take-all matchup with a spot in the Super Regionals on the line.
While they face the same team that defeated them yesterday, the extension of the Regional may have actually put them in a better spot today.
In this type of matchup, pitching is all hands on deck, with the exception of players who are already taxed from yesterday's game.
That means we'll likely see a combination of Friday's starter, Russell Sandefer, followed by many of the best arms in a Florida bullpen that was exceptional coming into this Regional.
As for Troy, its staff just doesn't compare. So, while the Trojans are clearly dangerous at the dish, today is a war of attrition, and the Gators are better equipped to pull away.
Pick: Florida -1.5 (-105 · Play to -2.5)
