Bill Self has been at the helm of Kansas Basketball since 2003, winning two national championships, going to two additional Final Fours, and leading his team to nine Elite Eight appearances. Simply put, since his hiring, Kansas has been a college basketball powerhouse.

However, after several first-weekend exits over the past couple of years, Kansas' most recent loss came to Rick Pitino and St. John's.

During a postgame press conference, Self hinted at his future, citing ongoing health concerns. This is what he had to say:
“I haven’t decided. I’ll get back and visit with family.”
