The Roman Main Event tips off on Friday night with a matchup between the hometown UNLV Runnin' Rebels vs. Michigan Wolverines.

Michigan is off to a 1-2 start against the spread with a 2-1 overall record after losing to Seton Hall this past week.

The Rebels haven't been much better. They are off to a 3-0 start but have failed to cover in any of their first three games.

UNLV has a brand new coach, Kevin Kruger, and had to replace four starters.

Michigan, meanwhile, is ranked No. 4 in the nation and has one of the top players in college basketball in Hunter Dickinson.

The betting public is pretty split on the 12.5-point spread favoring Michigan. But there does seem to be a side the sharps are taking.
