The Texas Longhorns play basketball tonight.

The No. 7 ranked team in the country will play host to Rice in an in-state clash.

The Longhorns are off to a rousing start to the season. They are 7-1 with the lone loss coming in overtime to Illinois.

KenPom has the Longhorns ranked as the No. 4 team in the country. Texas is also tied with UConn with the second-shortest odds to win the national championship at BetMGM at +1100.

However, Texas is currently dealing with some off-the-court issues with head coach Chris Beard.

The Rice Owls are no pushover. They're off to a 6-2 start to the season. Both teams they lost to are ranked inside the top 200 in KenPom, and they've yet to get a win against a team ranked inside the top 200.

Texas is currently a 24.5-point favorite with the total set at 141.5.
