Kicking off Saturday’s slate in the ACC, Georgia Tech and Boston College meet in Atlanta.

The Yellow Jackets were last seen pulling off a dramatic comeback over Miami to get to 3-3 on the year.

Meanwhile, the Eagles were also on bye last week, but have won two straight and are also 3-3.

This would be a huge win for both programs, but I feel the home team will be a bit too much in this ACC matchup.

Boston College Eagles

Coach Jeff Hafley is in his fourth season at Boston College and is looking to return to a bowl game after missing out last year.

If he's going to secure a bowl bid, Hafley will need quarterback Thomas Castellanos to continue to perform at a high level.

On the year, Castellanos has done more damage with his legs than with his arm and ranks third in the country in rushing yards for a quarterback with 512. However, he's also one of just three signal callers in the nation with over 1,000 yards passing and 500 yards rushing.

Castellanos is one of the key reasons why Boston College's rushing attack has improved from last in the FBS a season ago to 24th in yards per game this year.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

In the middle of last season, coach Brent Key was given the opportunity to step in as the interim coach at Georgia Tech.

Key passed this test with flying colors, picking up wins over nationally-ranked teams North Carolina and Pittsburgh.

Key received the full-time role in the offseason and carried the momentum over into this year.

The Yellow Jackets have also received great play from quarterback Haynes King, who transferred in from Texas A&M. The redshirt sophomore is thriving under Key.

King ranks in the top three in the ACC in multiple categories, including passing yards per game (271.8) and touchdowns (16).

He's also added a pair of scores on the ground, giving Tech a dual-threat option.

The defense is still a work in progress, but there's still plenty of time for the unit to catch up with the offense.

Georgia Tech vs Boston College

Betting Pick & Prediction

When you compare these teams, it's clear that this game is likely going to come down to explosive plays. They both do a great job of creating explosives, but there's a clear edge on the defensive side of the ball.

So, my best bet is to back Georgia Tech to cover -4.5, which I would play to -5.5.

I also don’t hate the Yellow Jackets as a leg in a moneyline parlay.

On the year, both programs rank inside the top 20 in Explosiveness. However, Boston College ranks in the bottom half of Power Five on defense, while Georgia Tech in the top 10. This is also the same Eagles defensive unit that's 120th in Finishing Drives.

If Georgia Tech can hit plays to get into Boston College’s territory, I just don’t see a whole lot of resistance stopping the Yellow Jackets from finding the end zone.

I also don't like how Boston College has performed on the road, as its lost by 28 at Louisville and scraped by a poor Army squad by three points.
