Spread Pick: Texas Tech -12.5

We’re riding with the road favorite in this Big 12 showdown, as Texas Tech has emerged as one of the biggest surprises of the 2025 season.

The Red Raiders offense has been dynamic, putting up at least 34 points in all four of their games so far. That level of production makes them tough to keep pace with.

Houston, meanwhile, has looked like a below-average offensive team and will likely struggle to move the ball consistently against this opponent.

All signs point to Tech continuing its strong run with another convincing performance.

Houston Player Prop: Conner Weigman 160+ Passing Yards

Weigman, the former Texas A&M signal-caller, finds himself in a favorable game script to hit this prop.

With Houston likely playing from behind for much of the contest, Weigman should be asked to air it out frequently.

He has already cashed this prop in three of his four outings this season, and the lone miss came when he finished with 159 yards against Stephen F. Austin in Week 1 — just shy of the mark.

Given the expected game flow, Weigman looks well-positioned to deliver again.

This parlay pays out at nearly 2-1, so we'll back Texas Tech to get it done while Weigman chucks the ball around the field in an attempt to keep up.
