Pitt vs West Virginia Preview

Pitt Panthers Betting Preview: Great Matchup for Offense
The Pitt Panthers enter this matchup on a roll, having cruised through their first two games, outscoring their opponents 106-26. They've done so with an up-tempo passing attack led by Eli Holstein.
Holstein and company have looked sharp, as the Panthers rank 12th in yards per pass and 11th in completion percentage. Their success through the air should continue against the Mountaineers, as West Virginia's secondary has been torched early on this season.
The Mountaineers rank 91st in yards per pass allowed and 115th in opponent completion percentage.
What will make matters worse for the Mountaineers is the tempo in this matchup, with West Virginia ranking second in seconds per play and Pitt not far behind at 23rd.
Pitt should be on the field a ton, as West Virginia is in line to have quick possessions.

West Virginia Mountaineers Betting Preview: Early Crucial Injuries
Speaking of the Mountaineers, they come into this matchup off a tough loss to Ohio. However, losing that game may not have been the worst part. They lost their starting running back — Jahiem White — and starting wide receiver — Jaden Bray — for the season to injuries.
Those are two massive holes to fill while the team is still trying to figure things out offensively. Through two games, the Mountaineers' offense hasn't looked great, averaging just 10 points and 4.2 yards per play.
Their attack has been plagued by poor offensive line play, as they rank 125th in sack rate allowed and have averaged just 2.6 yards per rush.
They'll face a Pitt team that's shut down its weaker opposition to this point. But while the Mountaineers may have more talent, their production is at the level of teams that Pitt has dispatched of thus far.

Pitt vs West Virginia Pick, Betting Analysis
The loss of White and Bray for West Virginia is enormous, as they were critical parts of the Mountaineers' struggling offense.
This caused the line to balloon up from 3.5 to 7, and the total has risen a few points.
Both moves are in support of the Panthers since the tempo will be fast, but only Pitt's offense will be successful.
Back the Panthers' offense to stay hot as they clear their team total over.
