Mario Cristobal’s seventh-ranked Miami Hurricanes will square off against the Stanford Cardinal on Friday evening in Palo Alto, California.
Miami enters Friday’s contest as an overwhelming 24-point favorite to prevail in a matchup that pits the ACC’s top dog against the Cardinal, who are projected to finish last in the conference in 2026.
Below, I'll touch on this ACC clash and provide a same-game-parlay (SGP) betting angle that you can take when wagering on Friday night’s action.

Miami Player Prop: Darian Mensah 240+ Passing Yards (+115)
For the first leg of my same-game parlay for Friday night, I'll back Miami quarterback Darian Mensah to record at least 250 passing yards at +115.
After leading the ACC in passing yards in 2025 at Duke, Mensah enters his 2026 campaign as a Heisman Trophy contender in a highly favorable schematic matchup for his debut with the Hurricanes.
Miami offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson has a phenomenal track record when it comes to maximizing high-profile transfer QBs early in the season. He has done so multiple times with the likes of Cam Ward and Carson Beck, among others.
I expect Dawson’s vertical and spread principles to complement Mensah's natural pocket presence and quick release to a tee.
Mensah also has one of the best playmakers in all of college football at his disposal in sophomore wide receiver Malachi Toney, who will undoubtedly assist Mensah considerably in his Miami debut.
Toney’s mere presence on the field often results in him getting doubled, which should provide Miami’s other targets — like Cooper Barkate — ample opportunity to find open space downfield for major YAC upside.
Stanford also has an atrocious pass defense, as we saw in the Cardinal’s season opener against Hawaii. The secondary gave up just under 280 passing yards to a far less explosive Rainbow Warrior offense.
The Cardinal defensive backs struggle mightily against high-volume pass scripts, frequently leaving open gaps throughout the middle of the field.
That should leave them extremely vulnerable with a wide receiver of Toney’s caliber constantly terrorizing their safeties given his deep-ball prowess.
Mensah boasts elite accuracy behind his throws and is uniquely lethal when it comes to finding open receivers in the intermediary areas of the field.
The former Blue Devil has grown very accustomed to high-usage games, racking up nearly 4,000 passing yards last season on just 500 attempts. He also has a tremendous 8.5 yards-per-attempt average over the course of his collegiate career.
That said, Mensah can clear 250 passing yards in just 30 passing attempts.
Miami Player Prop: Malachi Toney Anytime TD (-170)
For the second leg of my Friday night SGP, I'll back Toney to find the end zone at -170.
This should come as no surprise, as the Canes’ WR1 has already established himself as one of college football’s premier receivers. Now, he gets an extremely ideal matchup on Friday evening against an atrocious Cardinal secondary.
In Stanford’s opener vs. Hawaii, there was a distinct lack of defensive speed within its linebackers and secondary.
The Cardinal defenders also really struggled to make tackles in open space, which could be a recipe for disaster against Toney’s agility and raw playmaking ability.
Dawson’s offensive system thrives when it comes to feeding receivers in open space, which will likely result in Toney having several opportunities to use his breakaway acceleration for yards after the catch.
Once Toney catches the ball in open field, I expect the Canes’ superstar wideout to run circles around Stanford’s slow-reacting defenders, whose vast struggles preventing chunk yards from turning into breakaway TDs could be on full display.
In 2025, Toney led all of college football in receiving yards as a true freshman while scoring 10 touchdowns in the process.
I fully expect the Mensah/Toney combination to be unstoppable all year long, and we should catch the first glimpse of that on Friday night at Stanford Stadium.
