Syracuse vs Georgia Tech Preview
Syracuse Orange Betting Preview: Rickie Collins Keeps Struggling
For the first time this season, Syracuse will travel to Atlanta to take on a ranked opponent. This time, it'll be No. 7 Georgia Tech.
The Orange already have one road win this season, a double-digit underdog win at Clemson. However, the win has lost some luster as the Tigers continue to struggle.
Since that victory, Syracuse has dropped its last three games.
However, it does have a solid defensive performance to build on. Against Pitt, Syracuse allowed just 255 total yards and tallied 13 tackles for loss and seven sacks, its most in four years.
Kevin Jobity Jr. had three of those sacks, matching his total from the last two seasons combined.
Unfortunately for Syracuse, it also turned the ball over three times last week on three Rickie Collins interceptions. He has seven picks in his past three games, and he has completed less than 50% of his passes each of the last two weeks.
Since Steve Angeli's season-ending injury, Syracuse has fallen to 95th in Passing Success Rate.
Despite the struggles in the passing game, Texas transfer Johntay Cook leads the team with 37 receptions for 456 yards and two touchdowns. He has had at least six receptions and 65 yards in each of his past four games.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Betting Preview: King of Rushing TDs
Following Miami's loss to Louisville, No. 7 Georgia Tech is now the highest-ranked team in the ACC. It's Yellow Jackets' highest regular-season ranking in 16 years. At 4-0, they're one of three remaining undefeated teams in conference play with Virginia and SMU.
The Jackets picked up a huge win at Duke last week, 27-18. They grabbed an early lead on a 95-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Omar Daniels, and then quarterback Haynes King led the way with 325 total yards and a rushing touchdown.
One of the toughest leaders in the country, King is completing 70% of his passes with 14 total touchdowns and one interception.
He has 10 of those touchdowns on the ground, as he has run for one in every game this season. The senior leads the ACC in rushing TDs and ranks second in total offense (289.3 per game) and rushing yards (560).
Senior Jamal Haynes and junior Malachi Hosley join him in the backfield, and they're both over 400 rushing yards this season.
Haynes is closing in on 2,500 rushing yards for his career, but he has been held under 30 rushing yards in three of his four ACC games. Hosley leads the team with 7.5 yards per carry.
The Yellow Jackets won't wow anyone with big plays, ranking just 80th in explosiveness. However, they excel at staying on schedule, ranking 12th in Rushing Success Rate and tied for 18th in Success Rate.
They're also tied 22nd in Havoc allowed, and King has only been sacked three times this season.

Syracuse vs Georgia Tech Pick, Betting Analysis
This season, Syracuse has gone 4-3 to the under. Its last three games have all gone under despite the Orange giving up 30 points in each. In fact, they're averaging just 11 points over their previous three games.
Georgia Tech has also gone 4-3 to the under this season, and that moves to 4-1 against Power 4 opponents.
It's also a run-first team that wants to possess the ball and dominate the line of scrimmage under head coach Brent Key. Given his mentality and productivity, I expect King to find the end zone, as he has in every other game this season.
King scoring combined with the under creates a negative correlation, which gives us plus odds and a little cushion to move the under to an alternate number above a key number.
Five of Syracuse's seven games have gone under 56 points. If King's touchdown streak continues, this bet should cash.
Pick: Haynes King Anytime TD + Alt. Under 56.5 (+111)
