Toledo vs Central Michigan Pick

This is a transcript of Stuck and Collin's conversation from the Big Bets On Campus Week 14 Preview. Listen to the full episode here:

Stuckey: If you have Central Michigan futures, you still have a shot at cashing them.

Western Michigan beat Eastern Michigan on Tuesday, meaning that Central Michigan needs to win, and the Chips will likely need Miami to lose to Ball State.

But first, Central Michigan needs to beat Toledo.

This seems like a Jason Candle type of game to lose. His Rockets have already lost as a double-digit favorite twice this season, to Western Michigan as a 13.5-point favorite, and to Bowling Green as a 10.5-point favorite.

There is a path for Central Michigan to win. You need to run at Toledo, and that’s all Central Michigan wants to do, ranking fifth nationally in rush play rate. Four players have rushed for over 300 yards this season, and three of them have averaged over five yards per carry.

Collin: Toledo leads the nation in Pass Success Rate allowed, but the Rockets rank 38th in Rush Success Rate allowed.

They are much better against the pass than they are against the run, and that’s how Central Michigan can attack them.

Pick: LEAN Central Michigan +10 or Better
