I'm taking Donalds because the three most recent public polls I found all put him ahead. The New York Times and Siena showed a four-point lead, St. Pete Polls had him up 48% to 46%, and the University of North Florida found a two-point edge. Kalshi's polling average reads 48.1% to 43.4%. Its margin market projects a Republican win by about 2.3 points, which is no blowout but points the same way.
The fundamentals favor Donalds too. Republicans lead Florida's voter rolls by roughly 1.5 million, about 5.69 million to 4.15 million, per Florida Politics. Republicans carried the state by 13.1 points in 2024, and Lawton Chiles, the last Democrat to win this office, ran in 1994. Donalds also raised $176 million to Jolly's $28 million, per Axios.
