LeBron James Expected to Play vs. Wizards in 40K Points Chase

LeBron James is just 40 points away from reaching an entirely new stratosphere on the NBA all-time scoring list as he nears 40,000 points. However, James has popped up on the NBA injury report for the Los Angeles Lakers ahead of their game against the Washington Wizards.
Will LeBron play tonight and go for 40K against the Wizards? Here's what we know about James' status for tonight's Wizards vs Lakers Game.
LeBron is officially listed as questionable (left ankle) on the NBA's injury report, as of 7:30 p.m. ET. However, ESPN's Dave McMenamin says that James is expected to play against the Wizards on the second night of a back-to-back after he played 37 minutes, including the entire fourth quarter in the Lakers' comeback win Wednesday.

FanDuel had odds listed for when James would break the 40,000-point threshold for weeks, and earlier on Thursday, had him +1900 to hit 40K against the Wizards. That number has moved to +1100 since. His odds to break the record against the Denver Nuggets — a game that will be played Saturday night in primetime on national television — has the shortest odds on the board at -430 but was listed at -125 earlier.

The Lakers are favored by double digits at home against the lowly Wizards despite the fact that the Lakeshow just played a game less than 24 hours ago. The over/under on James' points prop at FanDuel is set at 25.5 and the under has -118 odds at the time of writing. There are alternate props for James at FanDuel, but they max out at 35+ at +650 odds. At DraftKings, James' odds to go under 25.5 are listed at -135 and his odds to get 35+ are +425.
