What Is the 2026 Sports Equinox?
There's a night on the calendar that doesn't make much sense: Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, the Sports Equinox. Monday Night Football, a World Series game, a full NBA slate, and a full NHL slate get crammed into the same few hours, and the sky throws in a Full Moon in Taurus right around midnight ET as a bonus. Nothing about this repeats later in the year, so I decided to act on it while it's here.

Leg 1: Wizards vs. Hornets (NBA)
Washington travels to Charlotte for a 7:00 p.m. ET tip, and the chart points straight at the guy who runs this roster. Anthony Davis is a Pisces, and Pisces trines the Scorpio Sun out Monday night, water meeting water, about as easy a pairing as the zodiac allows. A sextile from the Taurus Full Moon piles on more support. Davis is the best player on this team by a wide margin, and the sky seems to know it. This leg: Wizards win outright.

Leg 2: Cowboys vs. Eagles (Monday Night Football)
ESPN/ABC carries Cowboys vs. Eagles at 8:15 p.m. ET from Lincoln Financial Field, and Saquon Barkley's chart isn't handing him anything easy. As an Aquarius, Barkley gets squared from two directions at once Monday night: the Taurus Full Moon and the Scorpio Sun, both fixed signs leaning on him with friction rather than flow. That's not usually the recipe for a long, clean breakaway run. It's a pretty good description of how Barkley does damage on a rough night: fighting through arm tackles for the extra yard instead of gliding untouched into the end zone. Leg 3: World Series Game 3
Game 3 shifts the World Series to Tampa Bay, with the Rays finally hosting after dropping the opening two in Milwaukee. The stars don't do the home team any favors here. Yandy Diaz is a Leo, and Leo gets the same double-square treatment Barkley's Aquarius does, hit by both the Taurus Full Moon and the Scorpio Sun with nothing available to soften it. Across-the-board resistance, no relief anywhere on the chart. This leg: Brewers take Game 3, Rays drop one at home.
