Baltimore Ravens vs Cincinnati Bengals NFL Preview
The Ravens and Bengals have posted some excruciating losses throughout this NFL season, but somebody has to win this game in the same fashion.
The Ravens' situation probably is not as bad as it looks, but something definitely isn't right in Baltimore. Lamar Jackson has failed to complete 60% of his passes in five straight games now; it seems like he's a little bit out of rhythm on every single play.
The offense is also quite dependent on their tight ends, which does work to their advantage against the Bengals who are notoriously bad at defending that position, but the Ravens have been so sloppy in the turnover department that the schematic advantage might not matter.
The Ravens already lost the first meeting between these teams on their home field by a score of 32-14 on Thanksgiving when Joe Burrow made his return from injury. Now, they are traveling to Cincinnati in this spot, but the Ravens are still favored because they are 6-7 and the Bengals are 4-9.
I could see this playing out as another sloppy Ravens game.
Plus, I thought the Bengals looked really good for most of their game against the Bills last week before letting it get away from them at the end.
Ravens vs Bengals Betting Predictions, Analysis
The Ravens defense has been good against the run, but they don't generate much pressure. That might end up being their downfall.
I really wish they would have upgraded at the edge rusher spot at the trade deadline because they can't get pressure at all. If you can't get pressure against Joe Burrow, he’s going to pick your defense apart.
According to Evan Abrams, Burrow is 21-11 against the spread (ATS) when starting as an underdog over the course of his career.
When Burrow closes as an underdog of 3+ points, he is 10-11-1 straight up (SU) and 19-3 ATS, covering the spread by an average of 6.2 points per game.
