This Monday Night Football matchup between the Packers and Rams has a lot less juice than the NFL schedule-makers likely anticipated. With the Rams specifically, their skill position players have turned over almost completely from their Week 1 starters.

Hence my play tonight, which is banking on Ben Skowronek’s production. The second-year receiver has been thrust into an every-down role in the absence of Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson. He paced the Rams last week in targets (eight), receptions (seven) and yards (89), showing a good rapport off the bat with Baker Mayfield.

Speaking of Mayfield, he’ll have had 10 days to learn the playbook since last Thursday’s thrilling comeback. While my expectations for his production are tempered, this play is only banking on him being a slight upgrade to Jon Wolford and Bryce Perkins.

Skowronek is not Kupp, by any means, but he has been running a similar route tree to the All-Pro. Both Van Jefferson and Tutu Atwell run deeper routes (13.5 and 15.3-yard aDOT since Week 11, respectively) compared to Skowronek (8.9 yards). I like him to see more high-percentage throws.

Even though the Packers possess arguably the NFL’s worst rush defense of late, the Rams rushing offense has been just as poor (27th in Football Outsiders' Rush DVOA). The Rams enter this one as 7.5-point underdogs, so I expect them to be put into passing situations.

I have Skrowonek projected at four catches for more than 40 yards today. If this parlay combination isn’t available to you, I’m comfortable with playing the Notre Dame product’s receiving yards line up to over 33.5 yards.

Pick: Ben Skowronek 3+ Catches and 25+ Receiving Yards (-130; Playable to 33.5 Receiving Yards)
