Chris Jones Next Team Odds: Chiefs Favored to Retain Star DL

Chris Jones has a Super Bowl to worry about, but sportsbooks have already posted odds for his next team.

The five-time Pro Bowler is expected to be a free agent and test the open market this offseason, but the Chiefs are still favored to retain their star defensive lineman.

The Chiefs are -110 to have Jones play his first snap with them in 2024-25. Jones initially wanted a long-term extension before this past season. They were not able to agree on a new contract, but Chiefs general manager Brett Veach was able to get him more money for the final season of this contract.

"It was important for us to mend the fences with Chris because we love him and he's an iconic player here, not just here, but I mean of all time," Veach said. "That was important for us, and we'll continue to work hard and see if we can get something done, but it will be a priority for us."

The Houston Texans — at +800 — are favored to land Jones if he doesn't stay in Kansas City. However, it doesn't seem like there is a clear landing spot for Jones if he decides to test the market. In fact, 10 teams are priced between +1000 and +2000 to be Jones' next team.

Those teams include the Raiders, Lions, Bears, Cardinals, Titans, Patriots, Commanders, Buccaneers, Colts and Falcons.
