Buffalo Bills Betting Preview: Brutal Situational Spot

The Bills possess the most explosive offense in the league thanks to Josh Allen, but their defense is a complete liability.

Statistically speaking, Buffalo has the worst defense in NFL history for a 4-1 team. The Bills are downright dreadful across all metrics and are highly susceptible to tight ends over the middle — which certainly doesn't bode well in a matchup against Brock Bowers.

More importantly, the Bills are navigating a brutal situational spot. Buffalo is coming off an exhausting overtime win over the Rams in Los Angeles on Monday Night Football. Dealing with a short week, they chose to stay in the West Coast instead of travel home.

With a bye week looming and injuries to key players like Spencer Brown and possibly DJ Moore, this screams flat performance.

Las Vegas Raiders Betting Preview: The Brock Bowers Game

While the Bills have a terrible defense, so do the Raiders, who rank last in explosiveness allowed and allow 2.7 yards before contact in the run game, which is a terrifying prospect against Josh Allen.

However, Las Vegas will play a heavy zone scheme and likely utilize a spy in an attempt to keep Allen contained. The Rams attempted something similar on MNF, but were still gashed by Allen in the run game.

Offensively, the Raiders are not effective rushing the ball, but I don't think they need to against a Buffalo defense that leaves massive voids in coverage.

Kirk Cousins and Brock Bowers should have a field day attacking the seams.

Bills vs Raiders Prediction, Betting Analysis

This is purely a situational play built on buy-low, sell-high mechanics.

The Bills are exhausted after a marathon overtime game, stuck in Vegas on a short week, and fielding a historically bad defense relative to their record that has prevented two of their four wins from exceeding a 5.5-point margin.

The Raiders should be able to keep pace through the air and stay within the number.

Pick: Raiders +5.5 (-115)
