Christian McCaffrey props have been a huge topic so far this week. The 49ers' star running back has scored a touchdown in 15 of his 18 games played this season. If you use those numbers, then the -215 odds available in the Anytime Touchdown Scorer market are a steal.

Our touchdown expert, Gilles Gallant, has found a more specific way to bet McCaffrey to find the end zone. Check out his Super Bowl pick for CMC against the Chiefs.

Christian McCaffrey Props: Super Bowl Anytime Touchdown Scorers

Any discussion based on Super Bowl touchdown scorers has to start with McCaffrey.

Not only has McCaffrey scored four touchdowns in» two playoff games, but his snap rate is insane with over 90% in both games. To put that in perspective, he was averaging about 78% of snaps during the regular season. That shows that head coach Kyle Shanahan has shown he’s an advocate of using his best players a lot in the postseason.

So, given the efficiency of the 49ers offense, we know CMC is going to see at least two or three goal-line carries. At between -215 and -230 to score just one touchdown, it's reasonable to view that as a “safe” bet.

If I'm playing McCaffrey in the touchdown betting markets, though, my target is elsewhere.

I would play McCaffrey to score a touchdown in the first half. You can find McCaffrey to score a first-half touchdown at +140 at ESPN BET as of Wednesday afternoon.

CMC has played 18 games this season, and he's scored a touchdown in 15 of them. Of those 15 games, 13 featured a first-half touchdown. So, we're getting a plus-money number on the NFL's foremost touchdown scorer to do something he's done in 13 of 18 games this season.

Furthermore, the 49ers have scored a touchdown on their opening drive in 10 of 19 games. Also, the Chiefs are allowing just 6.8 points per game in second halves this season. Anthony Dabbundo wrote about how second-half unders have been hugely profitable in Chiefs games this season. This may be another way to invest in that.
