Let's not overthink this: the Browns are a complete disaster — and it starts at the most important position where they have a broken Deshaun Watson at quarterback.
Watson posted the worst EPA per play in the league last year, and despite not even being blitzed last week against the Jaguars, he was entirely inept.
The Browns would have cut Watson already if the cap hit didn't strictly prohibit it, so he is playing purely on a front-office edict.
Throw in the fact that their defense has massive holes without Myles Garrett, and this is a team poised to be an unmitigated trainwreck all season.
Every decade or so, we get a team like the 1-31 Browns or the Oakland A's that are just generationally bad, and I think we are looking at one right now.
Bucs Preview
The Buccaneers are in a classic get-right spot at home after a loss to the Bengals in Week 1.
Baker Mayfield will be highly motivated in a revenge game against his former franchise, and outside of a few turnovers, this Tampa Bay offense actually looked very sharp in Week 1.
New offensive coordinator Zac Robinson has this unit humming, leading the league in play-action and pre-snap motion to perfectly scheme guys open.
Defensively, Tampa Bay is going to pin its ears back against a battered Browns offensive line.
