We are roughly midway through the NFL season, and the Fanatics Sportsbook Fair Play policy isn't slowing down and continues to come up clutch for bettors.

With injuries and forward progress protections, Fanatics paid out more than $1.5 million to bettors in Week 8.

First-Half Injury Protection & Second-Half Tokens

A whopping nine first-half injuries triggered Fanatics' Fair Play policy on Sunday, resulting in just over $1 million in payouts, which are refunded in cash and automatically returned.

The most notable were those to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love, and New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry. Jackson, in particular, was interesting after he injured his thumb on his very first throw of the game.

Additionally, there were three instances of second-half injuries which kicked the protections into gear.

Refunds for 2nd-half injuries are paid out in FanCash and automatically returned upon completion of the game.

This week's games also saw the second-half injury tokens hit the $1 million mark for the season.

Forward Progress Protection

The biggest payout didn't come from an injury in Week 8; it came from the forward progress protection.

Josh Jacobs' 40+ yards rushing prop was deemed a winner after the Green Bay Packers running back hit 41 yards late in Thursday night's matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Despite later being dropped for a 3-yard-loss and only gaining one yard on his final carry to finish at 39, the payout on that prop was nearly $650,000 by itself.

In total, nine forward-progress protections were activated in Week 8, once again showing that the Fanatics Fair Play policy will be a valuable resource for NFL bettors all season long.
