Jimmy Garoppolo Trade Odds: Patriots Favored to Acquire 49ers Quarterback

It was once expected Jimmy Garoppolo would replace Tom Brady as the quarterback in New England. Years later, Brady is still winning Super Bowls and Garoppolo could get his chance for the Patriots.
According to odds available at BetMGM in Colorado, the Patriots are the betting favorite to acquire Garoppolo should San Francisco move on from the quarterback.
The betting market is specific for which team Garoppolo plays for Week 1, and San Francisco is still the clear -300 favorite. However, with the amount of cap space he takes up and the overall lack of production, it's been rumored he could be on the move.
That makes the Patriots (+400) a natural fit because of their available cap space and the need for a quarterback, in addition to the familiarity between the two parties.
Minnesota is next on the list at +700. While there may be social media speculation whether or not the team should move on from Kirk Cousins, The Athletic reports no talks have taken place.
From there, it's the Broncos and Colts, each +800 and the Bears at +1000. The Broncos have Drew Lock, but he's yet to instill enough confidence to cement his spot in Denver. The Colts need to replace Philip Rivers and have been linked to every potentially available quarterback.
The Bears are the main team tied to Carson Wentz. If that doesn't happen, expect to hear about the local connection to Garoppolo, who is from a Chicago suburb and went to Eastern Illinois.
