We have a Central Division tilt here, as the third-place St. Louis Blues travel to Arizona to take on the eighth-place Coyotes.

This is the fourth meeting between these two teams this season, as the Blues won two of the first three games.

Will the Blues take care of business once again as a large road favorite, or can the Coyotes pull off the upset at home?

Blues Heating Up at Right Time

The St. Louis Blues enter this contest in tremendous form, as they have won 10 of their last 11 games. Over those 11 games, the Blues' offense has been outstanding, as they are averaging 4.91 goals scored per game.

This offensive surge should not be that big of a surprise, as the Blues rank third in the league this season in average expected goal value of five-on-five shot attempts.

Their offense should have no problem keeping it going against the worst defense in the league.

In their three games against Arizona this season, the Blues are averaging 4.67 goals scored and have scored five or more in two of those contests.

St. Louis has been capable of putting up crooked numbers recently, as it has scored five or more goals in seven of its last 12 games.

Coyotes Feature Brutal Defense

The Arizona Coyotes enter this matchup on the second half of a back-to-back, as they squared off against the Washington Capitals on Friday. This article is being written before the conclusion of that game so all numbers and figures referenced below are from before Friday.

Not only do the Coyotes enter this game on the second half of a back-to-back, but it will be their third game in four nights. That means we could see some very tired legs out there as Arizona's season winds down.

This is bad news for a defense that is the worst in the league.

This season, the Coyotes rank dead-last in the league in five-on-five expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA). Arizona has now lost nine of its last 10 games prior to Friday, with opposing teams scoring at least five goals in eight of those nine losses.

Since the Coyotes are on the second half of a back-to-back, we can expect to see Harri Sateri get the start between the pipes. While he absolutely has no help in front of him, Sateri has still been awful in his two starts this season — he has allowed five or more goals in each game.

Blues vs. Coyotes Pick

Those that follow along with these articles know that I keep attacking opposing team totals against the Coyotes, and I am going to the well once again.

This trend has been extremely profitable in April, as the Coyotes have mailed it in for the year and barely even compete when on the ice.

St. Louis' offense has been on fire, and I see no reason why that does not continue against the lowly Coyotes.

Pick: St. Louis Blues Team Total o4.5 (+140) | Play down to (+125)
