Aces vs. Sun Preview
Both teams are seeking their first win of the 2025 season. The Sun, despite receiving 23 points from Tina Charles, lost at home, 90-85 to the Mystics, in their season opener. Connecticut led that game through three quarters, but was unable to hold on in the fourth.
Meanwhile, the Aces lost by 14 on the road to the Liberty. A'ja Wilson was dominant with 31 points and 16 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to beat New York's well-balanced attack.

Aces vs. Sun Prediction
There are a couple of WNBA player props that I'm targeting in this game, but let's start with Marina Mabrey.
She had 21 field-goal attempts ([), including eight 3's in Connecticut's opener. However, she attempted just one free throw and struggled to shoot, going just 5-for-21 from the field.
Those struggles certainly aren't going to last all season and the Aces defense, especially on the perimeter, isn't what it used to be. In fact, Las Vegas allowed the Liberty to get up 32 three-point attempts in the opener.
Mabrey played 35 minutes in the opener and as long as the Sun keep this game from being a blowout, which I think they'll do, Mabrey should get back on track and clear this line.
My second WNBA prop pick is a fade of Tina Charles. She had a monster opener (23 points, 10 rebounds), but that was slightly inflated by the fact that she shot 7-of-9 from the free-throw line.
Last season, her points + rebounds line would have been around 24.5. She has a bigger role this year, but will also be facing a tougher opponent. In her past six games against the Aces, which dates back to the start of the 2022 season, she has cleared this number just once — and that was by a single point.
Best Bet: Marina Mabrey Over 16.5 Points, Tina Charles Under 27.5 Points and Rebounds
