The Fever face off against the Mercury on Thursday night in a matchup between two teams fighting for Playoff seeding. The Mercury have slid recently while the Fever are still performing well without Caitlin Clark.
Over their past 10 games the Fever are 7-3 with a +3.3 Net Rating while the Mercury are 5-5 with a -1.1 Net Rating. The irony of this is the Fever have succeeded primarily without Clark, while the Mercury’s struggles are coming when they’ve had a clean bill of health. They have struggled to gel with a full rotation.
The Fever have continually been undervalued without Clark. While the offense obviously slips, the defense has seen a slight uptick. They’re a different team, but they’re still solid. They rely on Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell for the bulk of their usage and it has paid off as both have adjusted well to their expanded roles. Boston’s PA prop is set at 19.5 and I lean to the over.

On the game, I’m backing Indiana. Both the Fever and the Mercury have been ATS darlings this season but the Fever are 8-4 as a dog. Couple that with the Mercury’s recent form and I’ll take the points.
