Lynx vs. Dream Preview
The Minnesota Lynx face off against the Atlanta Dream on Thursday night in what should be a competitive matchup between two contenders.
The Lynx may finally be able to welcome back the MVP favorite, Napheesa Collier, after she’s missed nearly all of August with an ankle injury. The Lynx have such a big lead in the standings and are 6.5 games ahead of both the Liberty and the Dream that they’ve been able to afford giving Phee as much time as she needs to rest and recover.
There is zero reason to bring her back before she is 100%, and that’s why I think she will hit the ground running.
Collier’s points prop is set at 18.5, a number that’s clearly low for her considering she is averaging 23.1 ppg this season. Ordinarily, I’d be a bit balky in terms of betting a player fresh off an injury, but she could clear this line even on a minutes restriction.
She’s absolutely torched the Dream in two matchups this season with 25 and 32 points as they don’t have anyone capable of defending her.

The Lynx are clearly better with her on the floor, and I expect a rather full leash on her minutes when she does return. I lean the Lynx on the game but I’ll focus on Collier’s points prop.
