Lynx vs. Sky Preview

The Lynx and the Sky face off again after last playing on Saturday.

The Sky took that game behind outstanding efforts from Ariel Atkins, Angel Reese, and Kamilla Cardoso despite a strong scoring performance from Napheesa Collier.

The Lynx have lost just four games this season and have yet to lose consecutively. They boast the league's best Net Rating (+12) behind the best offense and defense — they're a true powerhouse.

Meanwhile, the Sky own a 7-13 record despite their win on Saturday behind the league's second-worst Net Rating (-8.5) — they rank among the bottom three teams on both offense and defense.

That said, they have been better over the last two weeks, though, with a +2.5 Net Rating.

The Sky's most significant edge is that they are excellent at rebounding the basketball and creating second-chance opportunities. When they play a slightly below-average rebounding team such as the Lynx, they can make life difficult.

However, this is mitigated by the fact that their defense is generally poor, and those rebounding opportunities aren't as frequent.

Besides Phee, one player on the Lynx who has had success in this matchup is Courtney Williams.

She's averaging 19 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists across two head-to-head games this season and is coming off a 13/8/8 performance where she shot just 5-for-15 from the field (there is room for improvement).

Her PRA line is set at 25.5, and I'll grab that tonight.

Lynx vs. Sky Prediction

The Lynx should be able to bounce back from a bad loss last time out, and the double-digit spread shows the way these teams are power-ranked.

The most significant difference last time out was not that the Sky dominated on the glass. Instead, it was that the Lynx got up 30 triples and only shot 33.3% from deep while the Sky were only 4-for-15 from beyond the arc.

That type of math advantage does not bode well for the Sky long term, and I expect the Lynx to bounce back here.

I'd lean towards Minnesota, but the Sky have been ATS darlings going 5-0 over their past five games, so I'll just stick with the Player Prop.

Best Bet: Courtney Williams Over 25.5 PRA (-115, DraftKings)
