Team Collier vs. Team Clark Preview
The WNBA’s biggest stars face off tonight in the All-Star Game.
The matchup features Team Clark vs. Team Collier and the two captains have selected their squads. Caitlin Clark is unable to play tonight due to a groin injury, but her team consists of: Aliyah Boston, Sonia Cintron, Sabrina Ionescu, Kiki Iriafen, Brionna Jones, Kelsey Mitchell, Brittney Sykes, Kayla Thornton, Gabby Williams, Satou Sabally, A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young.
Team Collier includes Paige Bueckers, Skylar Diggins, Allisha Gray, Kayla McBride, Nneka Ogwumike, Kelsey Plum, Angel Reese, Breanna Stewart, Alyssa Thomas and Courtney Williams.
Considering Clark, Sabally, and maybe Wilson will all miss tonight’s game, Clark’s squad is definitely a bit weaker than Collier’s.

Team Collier vs. Team Clark Prediction
The MVP is often awarded to a player who simply scores the most points for the winning team and lately, that has meant getting hot from beyond the arc as the past five winners have made at least five threes.
Kelsey Plum is always liable to get scorching hot from deep and made five en route to winning the MVP in 2022. Sabrina Ionescu who won the 3-point contest again and could do the same, but her team isn't as strong from top to bottom. Of those past five winners, four have been listed starters (Arike Ogunbowale has won twice on Team WNBA), but with the format always changing a bit, it’s tough to take too much away from that besides having greater opportunity.
This award will likely go to Collier (+330) if she puts forward a big effort, but from a narrative perspective — a lot of of these awards are often looked at through that lens — I’d like to present a little bit of a long shot: Angel Reese (+3500).
Last year, Reese put up 12 points and 11 rebounds in just 17 minutes as a reserve, but she’s dramatically upped her game this season. Plus, would it not be sweet to take home the MVP Award in Clark’s home arena?
I expect team Collier to win and cover, plus I like the over. I bet the over at 247.5 and it has risen to 256. I think the value there is gone, but I still expect points.
Best Bets: Team Collier -4 (-120); Angel Reese MVP (+3500)
