USA vs. Wales Odds, Market Report: United States Backing Its Country in First Match

After an eight-year wait, the United States have a World Cup match, and it's a big one.
The USA vs. Wales fixture on Monday afternoon will be one of the most viewed games in US soccer history, and the result will go a long way in determining which of these two teams will likely come second in the group.
As you would expect, the American public is getting behind its country in a big way.
79% of the betting tickets and 85% of the handle at BetMGM is on the Stars and Stripes to secure a victory on the three-way moneyline. Their price has moved from +145 to +135, but it has held strong at that number.
Only 21% of the tickets and 15% of the handle are on a Wales victory or a draw, each priced at +220 and +210, respectively.
In terms of the most-bet props, there are two big names that are leading the way.
The biggest prop wager is the "Both Teams to Score" line at +100. After that, it's all about Christian Pulisic and Gareth Bale.
Captain America is +320 to score a goal at any point in the game, and bettors are all over that number. The third-most wagered prop? Gareth Bale to score the opening goal at +400.
After all, not ever single heavily wagered angle can be a pro-American one.
