Shortly after the Supreme Court overturned the federal ban on sports betting in May of 2018, FanDuel opened its brick-and-mortar sportsbook at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford on July 14, 2018. The sportsbook is located within the same complex as MetLife Stadium, where the New York Giants and Jets NFL teams play.

On Sept. 1, 2018, the company launched its online sportsbook.

Who can bet at FanDuel's online sportsbook?

Anyone over the age of 21, regardless of where he or she is located, can create a betting account on FanDuel’s platform. But to place a wager on FanDuel, users must be located within the state lines of New Jersey. A user’s location will be determined by the geolocation feature on the device being used.

You must provide your name, date of birth, social security number and address when opening an account. FanDuel does not require bettors to provide a photo ID unless it detects suspicious activity.

Can you link your FanDuel DFS and FanDuel Sportsbook Accounts?

As a part of the sign-up process for FanDuel Sportsbook, users are given the option to register with their existing FanDuel DFS account. However, the accounts are technically not linked. FanDuel just pores over your existing information so you do not have to fill it in again. The Sportsbook registration process requires you to provide some additional information, and the two accounts must have separate passwords.

How to deposit on FanDuel Sportsbook

Unlike DraftKings, FanDuel offers a number of ways to deposit on its online sportsbook. FanDuel accepts Visa and Mastercard; however some banks will consider deposits for online gambling as cash advances, which can incur additional fees.

A lot of major banks will decline standard transactions for online gaming, so FanDuel offers a few alternative options, including its own FanDuel Prepaid Cards, which you can apply for and automatically connect to and fund your account.

Users can also deposit using PayPal, as long as it is linked to your bank account, and ACH electronic transfer. FanDuel also has Online Bill Pay set up with many major banks, and another online payment service called PayNearMe. Lastly, users can mail a cashier’s check, money order or personal check to Betfair.

How to withdraw from FanDuel Sportsbook

Users can withdraw funds using only a few of the options outlined above for deposits. FanDuel will release funds via an ACH electronic check or a mailed paper check.

Users who deposited using PayPal can also withdraw through PayPal. The same goes for those who deposited via a FanDuel Prepaid Card.

With the prepaid cards, you can withdraw the deposited funds at an ATM, spend the money anywhere Discover cards are accepted or re-deposit back into your FanDuel Sportsbook account.

What sports can you bet on at FanDuel Online Sportsbook?

FanDuel online sportsbook accepts wagers on most popular sports and leagues. The rules and market offerings vary by sport, but in general you can wager on point spreads, moneylines, game totals, futures, prop bets and live in-game wagers.
