The third round of the 2026 Memorial Tournament gets underway on Saturday at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Ohio.
J.T. Poston holds a one-stroke lead over the rest of the field at 9-under par after the second round. But, of course, the tournament remains wide open with two days remaining.
Here are my picks and Memorial Tournament Round 3 best bets.
Memorial Tournament Round 3 Best Bets
J.J. Spaun Top-20 (-142 at DraftKings)
Like most golfers in the second round, J.J. Spaun struggled to get things going. However, he still enters Saturday at T12, and at -142, he is worth backing to remain in the top 20 over the weekend.
Driving is essential this week. The course is long with narrow fairways, and players must position themselves well off the tee to attack these difficult greens.
There is a greater-than-average penalty for missed fairways. As a result, each of the top three finishers last year ranked inside the top four in the field in strokes gained: off the tee.
No other strokes-gained category showed a similar trend.
That profile makes Spaun a strong option to notch his fourth top 20 finish over his past five tournaments. Entering this week, he ranks in the 92nd percentile on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: off the tee.
Kurt Kitayama Top-20 (-116 at DraftKings)
Another golfer worth targeting in this market is Kurt Kitayama, who is tied with Spaun at T12 following Friday's second round.
Like Spaun, Kitayama fits this course well.
Entering this week, Kitayama ranks in the 94th percentile on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: off the tee. He has also been in strong form, finishing inside the top 20 in each of his past four tournaments.
Greens are difficult to hit at Muirfield Village, placing a premium on both driving accuracy and approach play.
Mid-iron performance is particularly important, as 19.3% of approach shots last year came from the 150-175-yard range. No other 25-yard grouping exceeded 15.1%.
Kitayama ranks in the 97th percentile on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: approach from 150-200 yards.
