The second round of the 2026 PGA Championship gets underway on Friday at Aronimink Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
There is currently a seven-way tie for first place at 3-under par after the first round. But, of course, the tournament remains wide open with three days remaining.
Here are my picks and PGA Championship Round 2 best bets.
PGA Championship Round 2 Best Bets
Matt Fitzpatrick Top-20 (-114 at DraftKings)
Now is the time to buy low on Matt Fitzpatrick, who finished Thursday’s opening round T34. One of the pre-tournament favorites, Fitzpatrick has won three of his past five tournaments and finished inside the top 20 in five of his past six.
One of Donald Ross’ preferred design elements at Aronimink was its emphasis on accuracy and shot-making rather than raw power. With that in mind, finding fairways is essential off the tee this week due to the penal rough and numerous bunkers lining the course.
That profile benefits Fitzpatrick, who ranks in the 86th percentile on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: off the tee and in the 85th percentile in driving accuracy.
Min Woo Lee Top-20 (-142 at DraftKings)
Another golfer worth targeting in this market is Min Woo Lee. He got off to a much stronger start than Fitzpatrick, finishing Thursday T1 alongside six other co-leaders.
Like Fitzpatrick, Lee also fits this course well. Entering this week, he ranks in the 94th percentile on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: off the tee.
Approach play is critical, as players face large but complex greens. Hitting precise landing areas is key, given the speed of the putting surfaces.
The greens run around 13.5 on the Stimpmeter, placing a premium on putting. Lee’s putter is one of the best parts of his game, as he ranks in the 87th percentile on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: putting.
He has used that combination of driving and putting to finish inside the top 20 in each of his past two tournaments, and based on his opening-round performance, that streak is likely to continue.
